How Can A Wound Above The Left Eyebrow Be Treated?
I hit just above my left eyebrow on the corner of an open window, pretty hard. It bled like crazy and definately needs stitches, but I put super glue on it instead. I immediately treated washed and put pressure on it. After awhile I finally got the bleeding under control and have been applying ice. Im wondering if I need to go to emergency. I seriously dont want to if I dont HAVE to! My eye lid is so purple and swollen. Thank u!!! Denise
Stitching the wound helps reduce scaring and speed the healing process and because it is a wound on the face it might be recommended to have it stitched if the wound edges remain open. There is generally a lot of bleeding with wounds on the face and it is normal you have purple swollen eyelids, it will take 1-2 weeks for it to fade a way.
If you have any vision changes or problems after the incident you will need to see your doctor to rule out damages in the eye and have proper treatment otherwise if no vision changes very likely you are going to be ok.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
