How Can A Wound On The Palm Caused By An Accident Be Treated?

I have a wound on my palm because i met with an accident. I cleaned it with h2o2 an applied soframycin on it and coverd it with bandage. After two days, there is a green coloured layer on top of the wound. Is it an infection? Or is it normal? What should i do ahead to heal my wound quickly?

Thanks for contacting HCM with your health concern

1. As there is history of Accident which means it could be classified as a type of friction burn [road rash] and since you have managed the wound it probably doesn't seem like to be deep seated

2. green colour layer/scab could be 'pus', look for foul odor and could be a big indicator of infection, so [seek an opinion of health care professional] get medical care as soon as possible, since some drainage from a wound is normal, as long as the fluid is thin and clear.

PS. In some instances the bacteria may bring clear fluid that is not yellow or green, which then will be examined by the doctor to determine a specific cause of infection

3. For quick healing and faster recovery consult a qualified doctor and incorporate the following:

- Since 'proteins' are the building blocks of our body thus take lean meat, eggs, fish, beans, nuts
- Add omega 3 fatty acids as supplement or from diet like avocados, walnuts, sunflower and flax seeds
- Avoid food which promotes inflammation like: sugar, flour, peanut/corn oil, white rice, saturated fats
- Take Vitamin C-K and Iron
