Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had gas, bloating, belching, upper stomach pain, and weight loss of 30 pounds since 3/1. Two endoscopies show inflamed stomach lining. H pylori has been cleared. Antibiotics taken for SIBO with no change. GES done and no gastroparesis at that time. All blood work is normal. CT scan is normal. MRI is on Monday. I have had some relief from using enteric coated peppermint tabs before eating. I developed spasms/hiccups after the Xifaxamin for SIBO . I use Bacolfen which helps somewhat. Honey helped but gave me diarrhea. All BM s are normal, otherwise. I had a breast reduction in 8/16 and these problems started sporadically after that surgery and became worse in January and chronic by March. I continue to lose weight but do eat breakfast and lunch. I ve tried dietary changes and they make no difference. My doc is head of the GI clinic at University of Washington. I m seeing a second GI doc in that department on Wednesday.

How Can Abdominal Bloating And Pain Be Treated?
Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. I suggest you to use simethicone medication for the bloating. Avoid food that triggers the symptoms. Avoid chewing gum. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
