Hallow Dear,

In fact in the abortion process, there is bleeding for few days with abdominal pain. This is because the uterus is contracting very hard to expel the products of conception. This helps control the uterine bleeding also.

Urine pregnancy test takes longer to become negative after an abortion - may be a week or more. This is so because that much time is required for the raised hCG titres in the blood to reduce Hence the best way to confirm the completeness of the abortion is to undergo ultrasonography. Please get it done to find out whether any product is still remaining inside the uterine cavity which denotes incomplete abortion. If abortion is incomplete, you will require surgical evacuation of the uterus.

If the abortion is complete, you do not have to worry about the pain in abdomen since it is a protective mechanism of the uterus. However, if the pain is unbearable, you may take some pain killer. This would give you some relief.

Please look for any foul smelling vaginal discharge. Infection after abortion also can cause such discharge associated with bleeding and pain. It can be managed by antibiotics and surgical evacuation if the infection is due to incomplete abortion.

I am sure, this is very helpful to you.

Hello dear
Understand your concern
Abdominal pain and slight bleeding may remain up to 4-6 days after using kit.
Pregnacy kit may be positive up to 7 days. You should repeat the pregnancy test after 10-15 days to confirm pregnancy. But USG and HCG level is very specific
Better to consult the gynecologist, and require follow up USG to know incomplete abortion. incomplete abortion can be treated by D and C minor procedure.

Advice:
Proper bed rest
Tablet meftal spas
Tablet ibuprufen
Healthy diet with adequate vitamin and mineral supplemets
Drink lots of drinks
Relaxation and stretching exercise
Take fruits like papaya, orange and pineapple
Maintain pelvic hygiene
Wear pure cotton loose inner wear.
Check for foul smelling discharge to know about the infections
Use safer sex practice to avoid unwanted pregnancies.

Hope this may help you
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
