General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

Do a clinical examination by your Doctor [dermatologist] and if confirmed then discuss following prescription topical medications like [adapalene, clindamycin with benzoyl peroxide] and oral medication like[doxycycline].

Do follow lifestyle modifications like this -

1)Try to wash acne-prone areas only twice a day. Washing removes excess oil and dead skin cells. Wash affected areas with a gentle cleanser and use oil-free, water-based skin care products.

2)Choose oil-free cosmetics that won't clog pores. Remove makeup before going to bed. Going to sleep with cosmetics on your skin can clog your pores.

3)Wear loose fitting clothing. Tight Fitting clothing traps heat and moisture and can irritate your skin. When possible, avoid tight-fitting straps, backpacks, helmets, hats and sports equipment to prevent friction against your skin.

4)Shower after strenuous activities. Oil and sweat on your skin can lead to breakouts.

5)Try to avoid picking at the problem areas. Doing so can trigger more acne.

Hope that helps
