How Can Acne Vulgaris With Marks Be Treated?
Hello Dr I have been Operated 2 months back my gallbladder has been removed as I had multiple stones later I took Ayurveda treatment but my skin turned into many pimples and brown marks, I have stopped the medicines of Ayurveda,kindly suggest what should I do?

Active acne particularly if severe can lead to pigmentation and scaring.
In my patients of acne I normally put them on one of the Oral antibiotics if they have moderately to severe grade of acne. Various options that I choose from are either Doxycycline or Minocycline Or Azithromycin.
Topically I ask my patients to use benzoyl peroxide gel twice daily.
Oral retinoids are an option too if acne is severe and not responding as desired to the traditional antiacne medications.
These are all prescription products and therefore you must visit a dermatologist for a prescription of these. Your dermatologist would be able to assess the severity of your acne and advice accordingly.
Once acne is under control I usually ask my patients to use an Azaleic acid cream, twice daily, at the affected area. Azaleic acid is a topical retinoid and helps to lighten the spots left over by acne.
Azaleic acid is available in 2 strengths 10% and 20%. It is a prescription drug, therefore , you must visit a dermatologist for a prescription.
I would suggest that you seek an appointment with a dermatologist in your region for proper treatment of acne and acne marks.
