Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

She is suffering from depression, anxiety disorder and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and is on Sertraline 150 mg per day and 0.5 mg Lorazepam. With medicines her IBS symptoms are under control but anxiety and depression are still persisting. As per my opinion she is on medicines since last 3 months so you can discuss with her psychiatrist to add some other antidepressant as augmentation drug for her persisting symptoms. Medicines like Bupropion, Lithium can be used as supplementary drugs for her resistant symptoms.

Apart from this cognitive therapy will also help her in controlling the symptoms of depression. Visit her psychiatrist for treatment of her resistant depression.

Thanks
