How Can Allergic Chest Congestion Be Treated?

I have seasonal allergies and take a regular OTC Allegra every day. Right now, in bad allergy season, my chest is very congested - so badly I am almost choking on the thick mucus if I cough. What should I take to loosen up the phlegm? Note. I do have well controlled asthma - it just is not active right now.

Hello,

Since you have asthma and allergic problem, you will be benefitted with breathing exercises and of course you must be taking drugs to control asthma.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
