How Can Allergic Rashes On The Face And Hands Be Treated?

I have a history of bad reaction to poison ivy. I have a rash on my face and hands. Its started about 24 hours ago. I used some OTC poison ivy scrub and showered with Fels Naptha soap. I took one Loratadine 10mg this morning. Can I also take Benadryl along with Loratadine?

Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern

You should not take Loratidine and benadryl together. Both are anti histamines and when taken together can cause side effects like sedation.
You can take either Loratidine or benadryl according to your preference.

You can also apply Hydrocortisone 1% cream over the rash.
Keep the area moisturized.

Hope this answers your question
