How Can Allergic Rhinitis Be Treated?

I visiting a household with dogs/cat that I am allergic to. Have taken Loratadine last two days and it has done nothing for me. Still have runny nose, itchy eyes. Can I take something else like a 25mg diphenydramine HCL tablet too? Took the las Loratadine 10mg pill about 5 hours ago.

First of all, If you have confirmed allergies with pertitular allergen, avoid contact of that allergen.
For such kind of allergies, take montelukast / zafirlukast tablets along with Laratidine as and when required basis only.
