Hi,
Thanks for contacting HCM.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.

Scabies is a common skin condition caused by infection with a mite and it is associated with intense itching.
5% PERMETHRIN cream is the most commonly used agent for scabies. It should be applied all over the body preferably at bed time and should be washed away next morning. You have to repeat this process one week later to prevent recurrence. All family members should apply the cream because scabies is contagious.
Wash all the clothes, bed sheets with warm water and keep it under sunlight to kill the residual mites.
To control itching you can use antihistamines like cetrezine(zyrtec),CPM etc.
If symptoms persist you should consult a dermatologist because over treatment may worsen the rash and itching.

Hope this helps.
With regards

Dr.Shinas Hussain
