How Can Allergic Skin Reaction On The Hands Be Treated?
Yes, please. I have been taking Carvedilol for about 2 years now without any ill effects. I also take Spironolactone and Atorvastatin. However, a few months ago, I had a severe skin reaction on the backs of my hands. It never occurred to me that it might be my medication until a friend mentioned that she had a similar reaction to a different medication she had been taking for a few years. It started out as tiny red bumps. I assumed it was poison ivy of which I am highly allergic and have in my backyard. They began to spread like ivy, but then burst and fused together making a horrible looking rash that weeps like some eczema or skin fungal infections. Do you think this medication could have caused this? I know it s risky, but I have not taken it for a week just to test it. My rash is starting to dry up. Coincidence?

How Can Allergic Skin Reaction On The Hands Be Treated?
Hi, The symptoms are suggestive of allergic eruption. You can take antihistamines like Pheniramine for symptomatic relief. You can also apply over the counter low potency steroid like Betamethasone also. If symptoms persist, better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
