How Can Amenorrhea Be Treated?

Hi Doctor I am 27 years old.. I am diagnoized with thyroid for almost from 3 months.. I am under medication .. I consume thyroixine 100 mcg.... I have irregular periods since a long time.... I consulted many doctors .... finally realized its due to my weight and worked on weightloss... when my weight is around 65 I get period for 28-30 days span... now I am married for 11 months and my last period was on sept 5th . I need to get my periods back.. I request you to suggest any medication to get my periods back. I am 5.4 and my weight is 74.

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Do a physical examination by your treating Doctor [Gyn] and do few investigations like [TSH and ultrasound] to confirm exact cause and rule out other pathological disorders, as per your present weight is concerned you are overweight.

2)Do take medication for Hypothyroidism and check your TSH level every 3 months.

3)Make a plan for regular exercise and make a diet plan after discussing with your dietitian to get desirable weight.

4)Discuss with your doctor about prescription medication like [medroxyprogesterone] for 3 cycles to regularize menstrual periods.
