my friend was diagnosed with an abdominal wall prolapse, following a total hysterectomy. This cause some frictions in our relationship, she is sixty seven. she is overweight and the abdominal area is quite large. My question: can the excess abdominal area be reduced and the prolapse wall removed by surgical intervention? did I explain my concern and was medically expressive? Thank you for being there.
Definitely there is a solution. abdominal hernias are common problem after abdominal surgeries. These hernia can be fixed with a mesh and can be reduced. Red flag signs for surgery are pain and bowel disturbances . Mean while try to reduce weight and advice for regular exercises with a diet plan as a first option. 2nd aggressive option to go for bariatric surgery
