Hi, I have an abscess on the back of my leg that is about two inches with redness extending about two inches from the site. I have been using hot compresses to help relieve pain, but the pain is severe that it hurts to work. Tonight I noticed the skin around the top of the abscess is black

Thanks for the query.
Abscess anywhere in body must be drained.
You must meet a surgeon and get it drained.
A course of oral and topical antibiotics would also be required.
You must not ignore this as the pus might get accumulated in deep fascia.
