How Can An Abscess On The Buttocks Be Treated?

I have an abscess on my butt cheek about 1/2 away from my but hole. iIt drained itself a couple days ago. Fortunately, I ve been able to stay off my feet and am able to keep it clean by showering the area after each bowel movement. After the area is dry, I dab the it with a hydrogen peroxide soaked gauze. Is it safe to put an ointment on it at this point? If so, what would you recommend?

if abscess is about 1cm in size.. then u can apply warm compress 4times a day.. it will rupture by itself.. so not squeeze and drain abscess by hands... it may result in spread of infection... and maintain hygiene over that area... apply Betadine on the affected area as u drained abscess itself without any antibiotics coverage... seek doctor if your problem persists.. and if keep an eye whether infection is spreading.. it it's healing by its own
