How Can An Abscess On The Inner Thigh Be Treated?

I have a abcess on my inner thigh . It is 4 inches in diamiter and 3 inches in depth. The onset was sudden, feeling upset in stomach. I did drain some pus which was dark grey and pinkish in color and had a ranset oder. The area is very tender and painful moderately constant. Also the center of sore is dark purple/black in color.

Hi welcome to HCM....

You have large abscess over inner thigh ...

Here drainage of pus is required to prevent spread of organism through blood. .(to prevent bacteremia )...

For that minor operational procedure done under local or general anesthesia that is called as incision and drainage ...

By putting incision pus should be drained ...

Than for few days daily dressing done ....In which would is cleaned with betardine and H2O2 ...
Vitamin c , healthy and balanced diet will help in early improvement ....

Suitable antibiotic like amoxyclav taken for 7 days ...
