How Can An Anal Lump With Pus And Bleeding Be Treated?

Hi I have had a bump on my butt near my anus for a couple of years now, never worried about it because when I got into the army I had to take a physical. The doctor saw it and said it was something but I can't remember what the word was all I remember is it started with an L... So now the other day I was sitting down and when I got up I noticed my underwear were wet, I checked it out and it appeared my bump popped. I squeezed out alot of pus and liquid from it but then saw that blood started to form so then I stopped. It used to be kinda hard and now it's all mushy( the bump), so I was wondering if you could tell me what it was or is?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You may have infected piles, perianal abscess, fissure or fistula. You should go for per rectal examination by surgeon first. It will give you exact diagnosis. Then you should take treatment accordingly. Drink plenty of water. Take high fiber diet. Avoid constipation.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
