How Can An Areola Spot With Residual Pigmentation Be Treated?

I had an ingrown hair bump on my areola. After removing the hair, the swelling went down. The area became so irritated, a scab developed. After a day or 2 the outer layer of the scab fell off from showering. I now have a pink/white circle in the spot where the hair bump was. How can I fix this? Will my pigmentation go back to normal? I have dark brown nipples.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The discoloration at the site of ingrown hair is temporary. You may give some time for it to come back to normal. Alternatively you may use Tacrolimus ointment, twice daily for a few days.
