How Can An Arm Infection Causing Swelling Be Treated?

my son has a infection in his arm,he has been in hospital since sunday,had iv antibiotics since sunday which dont appear to be working,his arm is twice the size and is red from the wrist to the top of arm,they have put surgery him in for surgery 3 or 4 times then put it off,im frantic with worry
