How Can An Enlarged Prostate Be Treated?

I was just told today after my prostate ultrasound that my prostate is 263 cm³ or grams. They’re thinking about a heavy duty operation. For the last week I have been on able to urinate who have a Foley catheter in me right now. I am 68 in 255 pounds. What do you think my options are?

Hello,

It is really very huge prostate. Usually, it should never be more than 60g, so you only think about what risk you have. While doing operation also, it is very risky, but the operation is also must.

Many people get out of operation well and respond better, but your case doing operation is only risky. Leaving it also very risky, so you need to understand your situation and should take a bold decision.

If the operation is done and you get better out of it, you won. If you leave it and suffer from a lot of problems, it can be even risky. So, just talk to your doctor about and take up the risk.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
