How Can An Enlarged Uterus And Vaginal Bleeding Be Treated?

I have been scheduled for a D&C and an exam under anesthesia. My Dr. could not perform an exam because my uterus is overgrown with fibroids. I am 54 and often experience vaginal bleeding on ocassion, also I am menopausal and have been since the age of 38.
