How Can An Episiotomy Scar Tissue Be Treated?

Hi, I had a episiotomy last June with 2 degree laceration. Now I m 8 week post partum and I beginning to feel a had tissue on the scar. Am wondering if there is any treatment for this kind of scar? Am a worried because I had a scar on my groin due to folliculitis before and it leaves me with a scar with a little lump or hard tissue afterwards. So am thinking maybe may episiotomy scar is going to be the same.

Hello,

The scar formation in the body is always irreversible and cannot be reversible. So it will remain life time.

Laser treatment beneficial for that. But in labia, I don't suggest any such treatment. So you may need not to worry about episiotomy scar.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
