How Can An Indentation At The Site Of Injury At The Gums Be Treated?

Hi, I recently got hit in the mouth which caused a cut at the very top of my gum and I think It became infected bc it has healed and now there is now a big indent in my gum where gum tissue used to be, my teeth are fine and rest of my gum but it’s just the area where the cut was now has a hole or indent in it, I’m just worried it may be something serious I just quick smoking because of this issue
