How Can An Infected Pimple On The Neck Be Treated?

I have a big pimple with pus on my neck yesterday evening I consulted a doctor he putted a dressing over it now I have took out that dressing and get to know that the size of the pimple decreased but i am worried about that is it safe as I was getting irritated by the dressing ?

Hi,

Removing the dressing without doctor's advise is not correct as dressing helps in healing and maintaining antisepsis.

It also helps in reducing infection faster.

So it is advisable to consult your doctor and get checked.

If the size of a pimple is reduced then it is a positive sign and further dressing will help in healing it faster.

So better get the dressing done once again and only after the doctor tells you then only you should leave it open otherwise not as it can cause the spread of infection.
