How Can An Infected Surgical Incision Be Treated?

My mom had minor toe surgery for an ingrown nail and the site where the injection was administered with anesthesia looks bruised and swollen. I ve noticed that it has gotten worse since it was performed on October 24th. She takes Clopidogrel and a antibiotic was prescribed cefadroxil 500mg bid

The operated area could possibly be infected. I would recommend seeing your physician to get a wound culture (if needed) and changing to the appropriate antibiotic.
