How Can An Infected Wound Be Treated?

I see a thin layer something clear and kind of white on my road rash, and I'm not sure what it is. I put vaseline on the pad before putting it on, and when I took it off it was there. I'm not sure what it is. It was loose and it seemed to attach to the wound. Is it skin, or just the vaseline? Thanks.

Hi i do care for your concern.
The white thing is the healing tissue and need not panic, as this indicates the healing process.
It is not advisable to put vaseline cream on open wound.
Just apply antibiotic cream or lotion and apply the pad, while removing the pad apply saline water that is available in pharmacy. It will help.
Hope the wound heals soon.
Hope i have answered your question, if you have more fee free to ask.
Thank you.
