How Can An Infected Wound Be Treated?

My mom felt down on steps and has an injury . I am washing that wound with hydrogen peroxide daily and keeping ointment . surrounding of that wound is infecting by small allergic symptoms like small red rashes . someone said that it was caused due to washing with hydrogen peroxide daily. Is it true ? And suggest me if its better to consult doctor ?

itcan be cleaned with fresh water with sterile gauze.can apply providone iodine and can apply silver sulphadiazine ointment.hydrogen peroxide should not be used it is corrosive it can damage healthy tissue. consult a doctor for local examination. and diagnosis so that proper treatment can be recomanded.
