How Can An Infected Wound On The Toe Be Treated?
I smashed my big toe from about the knuckle toward the tip and it kind of leaked from around the nail cuticle for a few day then stopped. Well I’ve been noticing a foul smell about two weeks later and desided to cut some of the toenail off when it wasn’t attached and it is black and smells horrible under there. I can feel the whole bottom of that toe but not the top. I’ve rinsed and ligjtley scrubbed the smelly tissue off but the rest of the nail is attached still. What do I do?

I think you should go to surgeon and he will cut and remove the infected part , he will cut,the nail , and clear the wound. Maybe he will give you antibiotic ointment to put in.
If he see it necessary oral antibiotics may be needed.
