How Can An Infection After Total Knee Replacement Be Treated?

I have recently been given Ondansetron 4MG for the nausea ( no vomiting) from the strong antibiotics (Cefazolin & Rifampin) I am taking for a total of six weeks ( 3 weeks already done). I am taking these antibiotics to fight an infection I have from total knee replacement . I do not think this medicine is working though.

Hi,

What type of infection you have? Since when you have above symptoms?

Treatment depends upon the cause. Please get it done aspiration of knee and get culture and sensitivity.

Check it for you have osteomyelitis of knee joint or not.

Also, check if the drug-induced liver injury may be the reason for your nausea and vomiting.

Get it done liver function tests. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
