How Can An Inflamed Rash Above The Hairline And Stomach Be Treated?

I am frustrated. Went to minute clinic at CVS today. Can t get into dermatologist for 2 wks. I have a red burning rash above my hairline public area across the stomach. They prescribed a benedryl cream and aspercreme with lidocaine. Also gave me a strong prescription for a claritan to take 1 time a day. I feel like I could rip at it. It is all red across there with little bumps. What can I do? What do you prescribe? I have never had this before. It has been a week. I used tea tree oil before.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
