How Can An Ingrown Nail Be Treated?

I split one of my finger nails in half vertically back in December in kickboxing practice. One half of the nail naturally fell off because it was detached from an entire side of my finger. A portion of the other half that remained is till there, however I just realized as my new nail was growing underneath, my old nail is still growing over it. Will both nails keep growing or will the old one stop eventually?

Hello,

It can be treated under good antibiotic cover. Also, blood sugar and coagulation should be under control. A good surgical hand goes without saying.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kaushik Saha
