How Can An Injured Achilles Tendon Be Treated?

I have been taking two Advils twice a day for almost three weeks, for an Achilles tendon injury. After feeling some discomfort, I started Prilosec once a day, about about two weeks ago. I am feeling some discomfort again, and the Dr. recommended taking Prilosec twice a day. I have some mild osteoporosis. Is that OK? And if so, should I take the second one before dinner? Thank you!

Hi,

Usually, Omeprazole prescribed as once a day dosage. But in case of severe ulcer the dose can be increased to twice daily. The second dose can be taken 30 minute before meal. If your stomach discomfort doesn't improve in a few days then ultrasonography or endoscopy like investigation can be done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami,
