How Can An Injured Finger Be Treated?

I smashed my middle right finger , inbetween top two nuckles (from nail to hand) like right in the middle. Instantly swelled and bruised, smashed hard enough leaving an indention ( drew alil blood). This happened apx. 3 weeks ago. Healed alright, never went to the dr. though. My question was though, there is a little tender knot still. Curious to if , was fractured , now being healed, if posly not healed correctly?

that has to confirmed by x ray and in hand bones malunion and delay union are much more common that might be a case but without pics it's difficult to tell.
