How Can An Itchy Bump Caused By An Insect Bite Be Treated?

Hello, I was working in my garden beds on Monday. I now have what looks like a bug bite that s quite itchy immediately around the area, the skin is red and warm and underneath there feels like sort of a hard lump. should I just put like Benadryl cream on it or should I have it seen?

Hi.

Well, it can be a bug bite and if it is localized to the area and is not spreading and also you do not have any systemic symptoms like dizziness, sweating, itching in body etc, then you need not to worry..

You can take anti-allergy medication like Allegra or Levocetrizine and apply benadryl cream..

Do cool compresses over the area..
Avoid scratching the area to avoid infection and spread of inflammation..In case if it spread, then you need to get it checked.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
