How Can An Itchy Callus On The Feet Be Treated?

I have had a condition on my feet for over 3 years. mostly calluses and cracking. it cleared up last March when given a steroid pack for back pain. then the calluses came back and were extremely itchy. i treated for 6 weeks like it was athletes foot but now my doctor told me it is autoimmune / dyshidrotic eczema. Over the past three years, I ve used every cream/oil/ointment with small successes and then the condition would worsen so it may be autoimmune. She gave me more steroids (at my request) and a steroid cream that a dermatologist gave to me a couple of years ago to help the feet. Now they seem like the skin is burned and I ve been keeping them moist and covered all the time but it is becoming more painful. I m not sure if i should go to a foot doctor or a dermatologist. My doctor didn t even look closely at my feet.

Hello,

As a first line management you can apply salicylic acid cream for symptomatic relief. If lesion persist better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.
