How Can An Itchy Reddish Raised Line On The Foot Be Treated?

Red raised line on arch of my foot coming up to the inside of my foot. Feels like my foot is bruised on bottom arch of foot. This has been happening for a week, sometimes in last two days it felt itchy so thought it was getting better but inrubbing the line lightly tonight it is throbbing. Any idea what it may be?

Hi.
As per your case history you are having eczema.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on the lesions twice daily.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
