How Can An Itchy Sore By The Scrotum Be Treated?

I’ve had a open sore fit 5 years on my left side of my Scrotum scrotum,it itches quite a bit an ALLSO drains a lot,I’ve tryed ABOT ALL the over the counter stuff,do u have any idea what it is an what I can do to get rid of it,I hate to go to the dr it’s so embarrassing ,I NO ITS NOT A STD !!!! THANKS !!

Hello,

It might be a superficial bacterial infection or a fungal infection.
As a first line of management you can apply topical antibiotics like Mupirocin after cleaning with soap and water.If symptoms persist you can consult a dermatologist for further evaluation.
