Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The cyst you are prescribing is less than 4 cm in size and in case they say in ultrasound that it is a simple cyst than we watch it for a while. Some doctors prescribe female hormones to stop it from growing but there is not much evidence that they will much effect the cyst. Most of the time the cyst will disappear on its own and if it does not disappear in a few months but reaches 4-6 cm the doctor might decide to intervene. Generally neither the cyst or the medications you are taking effect the future family planning so there is nothing to worry about this.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
Antoneta Zotaj, MD
