How Can Anterior Cervical Decompression Be Treated?

hello I had surgery to decompress spine in my cervical area C3 to T1 I have been wearing a foiley catherization since surgery May15, 2017. the question have is the doctor explained that the muscle in the bladder were contracted how long could this last and is there something that could help? And is this a cause of the surgery?

Hi,

* The bladder sensation may return over uncertain period of time.

* Usually , a catheter trial is given after predictable period of time as 4-6 weeks or later as per the individual case; if the sensations are back, well and good , if not still needs catheter.
