How Can Aortic Stenosis Be Treated?

I have aortic stenosis and have had stroke last October in the rear of the brain. I do not have a cholesterol problem. I an on Crestor 10 mg and one baby aspirin q d I do not gave high blood pressure.I am fully recovered from the stroke. My cardiologist wants to put me on LOSARTAN 50 MG AND I AM PUSHING BACK since the drug as I understand it Treats high BP and hypertension of which I show few signs if any signs of having. Can you help me thru this decision. Thanks
