Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
It s very late but I am in a very bad position, my 10 months old baby is denying to eat. Whatever I offer him he s starting crying, it s going on since last week after he recovered from fever and cough. My baby s peadatrician is out of town and isn t answering. Not understanding how to solve this. We re very worried. Today he just had 7 ounces of nan, one 1 bread and a very small bowl of rice paste. I tried everything new recipes, fun during feeding, playing but nothing is working. He starts crying whenever he sees the feeding bowl. It s like he gets traumatised. Please help me. Should I give him some hunger increasing medication? How much and which one is safe. Thanks and regards Churni
I am happy to know that your 10 months old baby has been recovered from fever and cough last week.
Please take note that your baby has lost appetite since being with fever and cough. Good he is totally recovered. But, unfortunately, he is still lacking appetite. Give time to him to totally regain the normal vitality. Give more fluids to him (water, juice, milk). That's enough until totally regaining appetite. Gradually put foods in his daily menu. Try to prepare foods you can eat so he can eat at the same dish with you. Bring to breathe fresh air (mountain or at seaside).
