How Can Arm Numbness With Elbow Pain Be Treated?

I am 41 years old, 5'4" and 165 lbs. I have a history of high blood pressure and I'm currently taking Lisinopril for that as well as Wellbutrin for depression. I have been taking these meds for years. I do have a history of back problems and have seen a chiropractor off and on for many years. Lately, I have been experiencing numbness in my arms, below the elbows mostly when sleeping. I do have occasional pain in my right elbow when I have over worked it. I am a house painter and when I work several days in a row doing the same motions it seems to hurt more. I feel as though my elbow may be the problem, but my left elbow doesn't hurt, but yet the numbness is in the left as well. I currently don't have insurance so I have not been to the doctor yet. Wondering if I should see my chiropractor or see my regular md. Any information you could give me would be appreciated.
