How Can Atopic Dermatitis In A Toddler Be Treated?

Hello doctor, my 2.5yrs old son has got atopic dermatitis. The doctor has advised to stop giving him milk and milk products and I am following it. Is there any medication for it? I am also giving him telekast LC kid. Is it safe to use coconut oil for his massage?

Hi,

Your son is having allergy (atopic) dermatitis, most probably due to dairy products. This explains why your doctor has advised to stop giving milk and milk products to him, and prescribed telekast LC kid to him.

That could be enough for the moment. Should keep following up with his caring doctor. With regards to coconut oil, yes, that could be safe and effective for massaging his inflamed skin.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
