How Can Atopic Eczema Be Treated?

Hey, I have bad Atopic Eczema. I used have a lot worse 1 and half years ago I used to have scabs that used to bleed all over my body and you could even see the meat, that s how bad my eczema was. However over the past year I ve seen a major improvement to my skin I have no scabs anymore but my skin gets awfully red and Lloyd over my body specially my back, arms and land legs from the backside. Also my akin is super dry that it s not smooth at all its bard to even rub your hands on. I put cream on everyday like a moisturiser and a cream called Synalar. However the next day my skin is better and the redness is gone but it s super dried up again? What could be the cause of this? I am already on a diet plan aswell.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I think you should continue to take OTC ointment and moisturizing creams to keep skin hydrated. If this still doesn't help you can use steroid ointments that are taken only by prescription.

Also immune system depressants and corticosteroids can help you with symptoms. You also can benefit from some biological drugs.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
