How Can Attention Deficit Disorder In A Child Be Treated?
Hello, My daughter is 9yrs old. Very talented in many ways, however she has trouble focusing. Perhaps that is why so many things seem to interest her. The problem is completing or following through on projects or assignments. She begins well but will be distracted by something and start on something else before fininshing the task at hand. Lately it has been causing problems in school, both in the classroom and with homework. What can I do?

Children can be very versatile and overactive at the same time. When you find it difficult to ask them to pay attention to a task and complete it efficiently then you can try guiding them with different methods like encouraging them by giving compliments or useful gifts for completing the tasks that you give, even when they complete their studies on time.
Sometimes this seems difficult to do on your own, then my advice to you visits a psychiatrist for the same because along with counselling sessions with different therapies.
If needed, the doctor can also prescribe some medicines that help children who are very active but not attentive with such issues.
With appropriate management and time, usually improvement is seen in children with similar issues.
