Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for using healthcaremagic.
Bipolar 2 means you had episode of hypomania. Now you are in depression phase.
Are you taking any medicines? If not you should consult a psychiatrist soon without waiting.
because of weight loss you have other physical symptoms.
You may require indoor hospital management for few days.
Medicines like lithium, lamotrigine and SSRI can help you for sure. Even after complete improvement you should continue lamotrigine or lithum as a mood stabilizer drug to prevent relapse.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards,Dr. Chintan Solanki
