How Can Bipolar Disorder In A Teenager Be Treated?
My daughter, age 16, has had recurring bi-polar I, manic episodes. This occurs 1.5 weeks after being discharged from a behavioral adolescent facility. The doctors discharge her with no long term plan, I guess, after the insurance has run out to start the process over and over again. his is her 5th discharge and hospitalization. I need a private psychiatrist but cannot afford one. Can you help and advise as I have insurance and most psychiatrists/doctors do not accept insurance? I need to stop the recurring mania. She is an honors science student. I would love her to be able to go back to high school. Thank you.
