There are various options for post acne spots.But you should only plan for the treatment when your pimples are completely cured.
The best and safe options would be chemical peels ,which can be either glycolic acid peel or salicylic acid peel.This done once in two weeks and one can take 4-5 such peels .It gradually peels off your dead and pigmented skin to give you a even skin tone.This is very much a affordable treatment .You can even take this treatment while you are getting pimples.
Next level of treatment would be lasers .This would be a costly affair as compared to chemical peel ,and the results could be variable too.It is very important to take the specific laser in this ,which would be a Q-switched Nd:yag laser .Please don't go for IPL as it would not give you good result.Laser treatment does not come with any surety ,so take it only after proper consultation with the dermatologist.
As you live in chennai,there is a laser center by the name "national skin and hair care center" who have this kind of laser.So kindly take a consultation with them .
Cost depends upon how many spots you have and also depends upon number of sessions required.
