How Can Bladder Infection And Fever Be Treated?

I was diagnosed with a bladder infection 5 days ago and have been taking macro bid. I still have a fever at times of 99.6 or a little higher and have pain in my back and sides at my waistline. It hurts to move almost all the time. I m thinking I should go back to the Dr. and get another urine culture or see about getting a different antibiotic.

Hi,
Thanks for asking. I understand your concern.
You seem to have bladder infection along with kidney involvement (giving pain in both sides of waist line.)
This condition needs specific investigations (urine routine, microscopic /urine culrure/ct scan or MRI of the region in some cases apart from consultation of a physician for suitable antibiotic.
On personal level...You should take rest (specially avoiding bending or weight lifting ),Drink sufficient water .. take barleywater .
Thanks.
